Ford Motor Co. reports its wholesale volume in China in September jumped 69% to 96,100 units. Sales through the first nine months of 2015 climbed 51% to 647,800 vehicles.

Car wholesales by China Changan Ford Automobile rose 69% to 466,200 in the first three quarters, including a 66% jump to 72,200 units in September.

Commercial Ford vehicle wholesale deliveries through China Jiangling Motors Corp. advanced 12% to 165,200 units in January-September. The venture's volume last month rose 41% to 21,900 units.

Ford says its imported passenger vehicles multiplied to 16,400 units in the first three quarters from 6,500 units in the same period last year. A relative latecomer to the Chinese market, Ford ranks fifth in sales volume after General Motors, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Nissan.
