Deliveries by Changan Ford Automobile rose 25% to 84,300 cars in September and 14% to 663,300 units for the first nine months of 2016. Sales of commercial vehicles by Jiangling Motor Corp. grew 28% to a record 23,400 units in September and were flat at about 183,000 units for the year to date.
Ford notes that sales of its Mustang sport coupe have totaled more than 2,300 units so far this year, surpassing full-year sales in 2015. Demand for the company’s Lincoln brand almost tripled to 21,000 units for the year to date.
