Ford Replaces European Manufacturing Chief
Ford Motor Co. says Michael Flewitt, its vice president of manufacturing in Europe since January, has left the company.
Ford Motor Co. says Michael Flewitt, its vice president of manufacturing in Europe since January, has left the company.
Flewitt, 50, began his Ford career in 1983 and was in charge of vehicle operations in Europe before taking the manufacturing job in December.
Ford says Jeff Wood, 52, will replace Flewitt on June 1. Wood has been director of manufacturing for Ford North American Vehicle Assembly Operations since 2008. His previous assignments included director of manufacturing for the company's truck operations and director for global manufacturing quality.
