Ford Motor Co. is recalling 338,300 of its 2017 model Explorer SUVs in North America to fix faulty seat frames that have dangerously sharp edges.

Ford reports 31 cases of front-row occupants injuring their hands when reaching between the power front seat and center console.

Dealers will cover the sharp frame edges with special tape. In the meantime, Ford advises owners to avoid sticking their hands between the seat and console.
