Ford Recalls F-150 for Steering Defect
Ford Motor Co. is recalling 12,300 of its 2015 model F-150 pickup trucks in North America to inspect and perhaps replace a riveted steel steering system component that could fail.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 12,300 of its 2015 model F-150 pickup trucks in North America to inspect and perhaps replace a riveted steel steering system component that could fail.
Affected trucks were produced at Ford truck factories in Dearborn, Mich., and Kansas City, Mo. About 6,700 of the vehicles haven't been sold yet.
The problem is an incorrectly riveted upper intermediate shaft assembly, the component that links the steering column with the steering gear box. Ford notes the component is a carryover part from the 2014 model F-150.
