Ford Recall Targets Fuel Pump Computers

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 88,200 of its 3.5-liter V-6 turbocharged engines to replace a fuel pump control module that could fail and cause the vehicle to stall.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 88,200 of its 3.5-liter V-6 turbocharged engines to replace a fuel pump control module that could fail and cause the vehicle to stall. Almost all models are in the U.S.

The campaign covers 2013-2015 model Ford Taurus sedans, Flex crossover vehicles and Police Interceptor sedans, plus Lincoln MKS large sedans and MKT large SUVs.

Separately, Ford is recalling 2,500 of its 2015-2016 model Transit vans that are equipped with 3.2-liter diesel engines. Dealers will replace fuel injection pumps and also may install a new fuel filter and fuel injectors.
