Ford Posts Record Sales in Sub-Sahara Region of Africa
Ford Motor Co. reports any-month record sales of nearly 7,300 vehicles in South Africa in September, up 26% from the same period in 2013.

Ford attributes the gain to new models and additional dealerships in the region, which includes Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia and Swaziland.
Last month's sales growth hiked Ford's market share in the region to a record 13%. The company says it expects to add 17 new or updated models in Africa and the Middle East by 2017.
