Ford Offers Award-Winning Surveillance Technology to Others

Business Wire reports Ford Motor Company is offering its multi-patent-pending surveillance mode technology to other manufacturers and military suppliers.

Ford and InterMotive of Auburn, California, partnered to build the system for the automaker's Police Interceptor. The system uses existing camera and radar components to warn of vehicles approaching from behind and triggers the vehicle to take defensive measures. (Business Wire)
