Ford Hires LaNeve to Head U.S. Sales

Mark LaNeve, who headed U.S. sales at General Motors Co. 15 years ago, has been hired to perform the same job at Ford Motor Co.

He will take over as Ford's vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service on Feb. 1. He will report jointly to Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas, and Stephen Odell, who heads the company's global marketing, sales and service.

John Felice

LaNeve, 55, will succeed John Felice, 53, who is retiring after 30 years at Ford and 18 months as head of U.S. sales there.

LaNeve currently is chief operating officer for WPP Group's Global Team Ford, the worldwide marketing and advertising agency for Ford. Previous jobs have included chief marketing officer at Allstate, CEO of Volvo Cars of North America and general manager of GM's Cadillac unit.
