Tom Kowaleski, former head of General Motors Co. global communications, has joined Ford Motor Co. as the interim head of public relations for the Lincoln brand, Automotive News says.
Kowaleski, who was a consultant to Lincoln PR earlier this year, fills a vacancy created in December when Christian Bokich left. Joe Jacuzzi took the job in March but left after less than a month.
Kowaleski's early career included stints at Renault USA and American Motors. At Chrysler, his jobs included marketing and communications chief for its European unit and later director of communications strategy at DaimlerChrysler. Kowaleski went on to head BMW's North American communications before working for GM from 1999 to 2006.
