Ford GT Engineer Quits
Kip Ewing, who had served as Ford Motor Co.’s assistant chief engineer-Ford Performance, has left the company, according to several media reports.
Kip Ewing, who had served as Ford Motor Co.’s assistant chief engineer-Ford Performance, has left the company, according to several media reports.
Ewing is credited with leading the engineering team for Ford’s GT supercar and developed various carbon fiber aftermarket parts for the vehicle, which he sold through a separate company. During his 20-year career with Ford, Ewing also was involved in several other performance programs, including the Mustang, Shelby GT500 and GTX1 roadster.
Prior to joining Ford Ewing worked for ASC, Aston Martin, Bentley and Callaway Cars.
