Ford Motor Co. reports it paid CEO Mark Fields $17.3 million in salary, stock and other compensation in 2015, his first full year in the job. He received $14.8 million in 2014, where he was chief operating officer for six months before becoming CEO in July.

When pension adjustments and such perks as the use of a company plane are included, Fields’ compensation declined to $18.6 million from $18.9 million. The difference includes a $2.8 million drop in pension contribution caused by fluctuating discount rates and changes in mortality tables.

Ford Chairman Bill Ford Jr.’s compensation dropped 17% to $12.9 million last year, also because of pension adjustments. When those factors are ignored, his payout rose 2% to $10.1 million.

The company did not offer stock options to its top executives this year. But it did give them restricted shares they will receive over three years.
