Ford Motor Co. has revamped the management structure for its Lincoln unit to give the brand greater autonomy as it attempts to redefine itself and revive sales, Automotive News reports.

Matt VanDyke has been named global head of marketing, sales and service for the renamed "Lincoln Motor Co." He reports to Jim Farley, Ford executive vice president of global marketing, sales and service.

The company introduced Lincoln's new leaders to the marque's dealers at a meeting earlier this month, according to AN. The newspaper says the brand's sales staff which previously worked for Ken Czubay, the company's U.S. chief of sales and marking for all brands now reports to VanDyke.

VanDyke had been director of U.S marketing communications for the Ford and Lincoln makes. Before joining the carmaker in 2008, he worked at WPP's Detroit-based Team One agency as advertising manager for Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus brand.
