Audi AG hopes to resume production today at its manufacturing complex at Neckarsulm, Germany, after the region was flooded overnight Sunday.

The facility's normal daily output is 1,300 of the company's A4, A5, A6, A7 and A8 sedans, the brand’s R8 sports car and RS performance versions of several models. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the factory itself was damaged by the disaster.

Reuters reports that four people died in flooding in Baden-Wuettemberg, the state in which the factory is located. The complex employs some 16,000 people nd last year made more than 272,000 vehicles.
