General Motors Co. has suspended deliveries of the redesigned 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to fix two defects in about 2,800 of the sports cars.
The company says all but about 100 cars have not yet reached customers.
GM is checking 2,000 cars for a loose electrical connection in the steering wheel's airbag system. Another 800 cars may have an improperly installed parking brake cable on one rear wheel.
GM sold nearly 2,700 Corvettes last month compared with about 700 in August 2013, according to Autodata Inc.
