It's the first time the fund set up to handle applications for compensation has reported payment offers that weren't accepted.
Last week the program agreed to make offers to 10 more injury claims, bringing the total to 109. The program did not add to its current list of 57 claims eligible for death payments.
The GM program received 3,434 application between last Aug. 1 and Jan. 31. So far it has reviewed 1,445 of them. The News says the fund has ruled 775 claims ineligible and can't assess another 933 because they were submitted with no proof.
