Finalists Named for North American Car/Truck Awards

A panel of 57 North American journalists has narrowed its list of contenders to three finalists each for the 2015 North American car and truck of the year awards.

Contenders for car of the year are the Ford Mustang sport coupe, Hyundai Genesis sedan and Volkswagen Golf hatchback.

Finalists for truck of the year are the Ford F-150 large pickup truck, Chevrolet Colorado midsize pickup and Lincoln MKC crossover.

Winners will be announced on Jan. 12 at the Detroit auto show. Entries are selected from a field of new or significantly redesigned vehicles.
