Fiat Would Consider Building Mazda Models Outside Asia

Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says Fiat would be willing to build Mazda vehicles at any of its plants worldwide that has available capacity, including at Chrysler's North American factories.

Fiat and Mazda announced on Monday that they will jointly develop a sports car for Mazda and Alfa Romeo. The companies aim to begin producing the Alfa version at Mazda's Hiroshima facility in 2015. The partners added they would explore further cooperation in Europe.

Marchionne says Fiat is willing to team up with Mazda on engines and other models.
