Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Iveco and Magneti Marelli have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to develop natural gas-based technologies with the Israel Fuel Choice Initiative.

IFCI is a 10-year-old government program managed through the prime minister's office. Its aim is to establish Israel as a hub for alternative fuels knowledge.

The four parties say they also are in talks about launching an extended research program with Israeli companies to pursue innovations in alternative fuels, advanced mobility and other transport options.
