Fiat SpA confirms its factory in Pomigliano, Italy, will stop making the Panda minicar between Oct. 16 and 27 because of an expected slowdown in demand later this year.
Reuters notes that nearly 2,000 of the plant's 4,500 workers are already on government-funded reduced work/reduced pay plan at the underutilized facility.
