Ferrari SpA’s 2,900 employees each will receive a year-end €5,000 ($5,400) bonus, according to the company.
The awards are in appreciation of the supercar maker’s strong financial performance and the success of its initial public offering in October. Ferrari’s spinoff from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is expected to generate about €3.5 billion ($4 billion) for FCA when completed in 2016.
The IPO on the New York Stock Exchange sold 10% of Ferrari for $982 million (€906 million). An 80% stake will be sold to current FCA shareholders beginning next year. Pietro Ferrari, son of the company’s founder, will retain the remaining 10%.
