FCA Worker Killed in Detroit Plant Accident

A 53-year-old millwright and wastewater operator at Fiat Chrysler Automobile NV's Jefferson North factory in Detroit was crushed to death early this morning in an industrial accident.

Fire department officials say Donald Megge was caught in a machine press while performing routine maintenance at the Jefferson plant's wastewater treatment facility. He was discovered about 45 minutes later. The accident is being investigated by plant, union, state and federal safety officials.
