Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV will halt output for two weeks in April at two factories in Ontario, Canada, because of an oversupply of minivans and sporty cars.

FCA tells Automotive News it will shutter its car plant in Brampton (Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger) the weeks of April 1 and April 8.

The company’s minivan plant in Windsor (Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan) will be idled the weeks of April 8 and April 15.

AN notes that the latter facility has already suspended output—as many as 1,500 vehicles per day via three shifts that run six days per week—three times this year to align supply with demand.
