FCA Trims Powertrain Warranty

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV will follow General Motors Co. in reducing the mileage cap for its U.S. powertrain warranty on 2016 models, Automotive News reports.
Both companies are changing their five-year/100,000-mile warranty to five years and 60,000 miles. FCA's new coverage will apply to Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles with gasoline engines.
FCA says its U.S. bumper-to-bumper warranty on other components will remain unchanged at three years and 36,000 miles for Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles and four years and 50,000 miles for Fiat brand cars.
