Faurecia SA has opened a 50,000-sq-ft customer service center in Southfield, Mich., to support its interiors business with Ford Motor Co.

The new office will house more than 200 employees who provide product development, engineering, program management, sales and marketing for Faurecia operations throughout southeastern Michigan.

The French company describes itself as the eighth-largest automotive supplier in North America. Faurecia has added eight new locations in North America, half of them in Michigan, in the past 12 months.
