Faurecia May Launch Exteriors Operations in N. America
Faurecia SA, Europe's leading auto interiors supplier, may set up facilities in Mexico or the U.S. to produce exterior components, says Mike Heneka, president of the company's North America unit.

Faurecia SA, Europe's leading auto interiors supplier, may set up facilities in Mexico or the U.S. to produce exterior components, says Mike Heneka, president of the company's North America unit.
Heneka tells the Management Briefing Seminars in northern Michigan that a couple of automakers are urging the French company to begin locally supplying their North American factories with such parts as bumper fascias, front-end modules and hoods. Those components are typically made at facilities near the assembly plant.
Heneka adds that Faurecia won't open such factories in North America unless it obtains long-term commitments from customers.
