Bob Rossiter, longtime CEO at Lear Corp. through good times and bad, died on Sunday after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 69.
Rossiter joined Lear Siegler Seating Corp. in 1971 as a production scheduler. By 2000 he had been named CEO of the company’s automotive unit, which had been relaunched as Lear Seating Corp. through a leveraged buyout in 1988.
He left the company in 2011, two years after leading the company through bankruptcy and guiding its spectacular recovery.
