Liam Butterworth, who quit as CEO of Delphi Technologies plc last week, will take over as CEO of automotive operations for U.K.-based Melrose Industries plc in early November.
Melrose acquired Britain’s GKN plc, an automotive and aerospace engineering and supplier company, for £7.9 billion ($11.1 billion) in March. Butterworth will head the GKN Driveline and ePowertrain units.
Butterworth, 47, joined Delphi Automotive in 2012 and became president of that company’s powertrain business two years later. He was named CEO of powertrain-focused Delphi Technologies when the unit was spun off in December 2017.
