Eurozone Unemployment Eases to 11.8%

Europe's seasonally adjusted jobless rate in March was unchanged from February but lower than year-earlier rates, according to Eurostat.
The EU data agency says unemployment in the eurozone improved to 11.8% from 12% in March 2013. The rate in the EU28 shrank to 11.5% from 11.9% over the same period.
Eurostat estimates the number of workers without jobs in March was 35.7 million in the EU28, including 18.9 million in the eurozone.
The agency notes that America's unemployment rate was 6.7% in March, unchanged from February but down from 7.5% in March 2013.
