Deliveries of commercial trucks and buses across Europe rose to 202,300 units last month from 176,800 in April 2015, according to industry group ACEA.

April’s 15% gain marked the 16th consecutive month of year-on-year market growth. Sales through the first four months of 2016 totaled 783,600 vehicles, up 12%.

The region’s largest markets each posted double-digit gains in April. Sales climbed in France (+10% to 41,100 units), the U.K. (+11% to 32,400), Germany (+12% to 31,900), Spain (+20% to 17,500) and Italy (+33% to 16,200).

Demand for light commercial vehicles advanced 14% to 165,200 units last month. ACEA says sales of heavy-duty commercial trucks surged 22% to 27,100 units. April deliveries of large buses gained 3% to 3,400.
