European Car of the Year Finalists Revealed

The organizers of the European Car of the Year award have narrowed their initial list of 40 contenders down to seven. The 2016 finalists include the Audi A4, BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XE, Mazda MX-5, Opel/Vauxhall Astra, Skoda Superb and Volvo XC90.

The winner, voted on by a panel of European automotive journalists, will be announced in early March in conjunction with the Geneva auto show. The Volkswagen Passat and Peugeot 308 won in 2015 and 2014, respectively.
