Confidence among financial experts about Germany’s economic outlook remains steady in December, the ZEW economic research group says.

The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment, which jumped from 6.2 in October to 13.8 in November, was unchanged in December. But confidence in the country’s current economic situation climbed 4.7 points to 63.5.

Germany’s financial community also is more optimistic about the eurozone’s economy, according to the Mannheim-based economic research institute. An indicator of that measure rose 2.3 points to 18.1 this month. ZEW says respondents appear to be less concerned, at least for now, about political and financial risks in Europe.
