Visteon Corp. has named Jeffrey Stafeil as executive vice president and CFO, effective Friday. Stafeil was recruited from Dura Automotive Systems LLC, where he has been CEO for two years.
Stafeil replaces Martin Welch, who was ousted in early October, two days after Visteon named Tim Leuliette as its new CEO. Michael Widgren, who has been interim CFO, will continue as corporate controller and chief accounting officer.
Stafeil will report to Leuliette, who was his boss at Dura in 2008-2010 and at Metaldyne Corp. in 2001-2007. Stafeil also has been a director at J.L. French Automotive Castings and Meridian Automotive.
Lynn Tilton, CEO of Dura owner Patriarch Partners, will serve as Dura's interim chief until a permanent replacement for Stafeil is appointed.
