Dodge to Offer One-Off Vipers

Next month FCA USA's Dodge unit will begin offering buyers of its $95,000 Dodge Viper GTC sports car the ability to create a custom-tailored vehicle unique to them.

The mostly cosmetic options include 8,000 exterior colors, 24,000 custom stripe colors, 10 wheel choice, 16 interior trims and six aero packages. Each buyer also will get a personalized badge mounted on the instrument panel.

Dodge figures there are more than 25 unique build combinations possible.

Customers will be able to configure their GTCs online at the Dodge SRT performance Web site (www.drivesrt.com). They also can track the assembly of their car through a special Viper portal.

Buyers will have the option of receiving their car at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit or have it transported to them by an enclosed carrier service.
