Daimler AG's truck unit will invest $120 million to upgrade a factory in Redford Township, Mich., to produce a fully integrated powertrain for the company's Freightliner and Western Star brand heavy-duty trucks.
Daimler AG's truck unit will invest $120 million to upgrade a factory in Redford Township, Mich., to produce a fully integrated powertrain for the company's Freightliner and Western Star brand heavy-duty trucks.
The plant, which is operated by the company's Detroit Diesel subsidiary, will add production of a new 12-speed manual transmission and asymmetric turbocharger. The expansion will create 115 jobs there.
