Daimler Names New Head for Mercedes-Benz Canada

Gareth Joyce has been named president and CEO of Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz Canada unit, affective Jan. 1. He currently is vice president of customer service for Mercedes-Benz USA.

Joyce will succeed Tim Reuss, who has led the Canadian unit since early 2011. Reuss will become president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Portugal, also on Jan. 1.

A native of South Africa, Joyce holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a master of commerce in business management from Rand Afrikaans University.
