Moovel Mobility Service Tops 5 Million Users

Daimler AG says its moovel mobility unit has hiked its user base 71% this year to more than 5 million customers worldwide.

Moovel’s mobility-as-a-service platform allows users to search, book, coordinate and pay for multiple types of transportation from a single smartphone app. The options include buses, subways, car- and bike-sharing and traditional taxis.

Moovel launched its first multimodal transportation app in 2015. In June the company introduced its SSB Flex app that uses artificial intelligence to help users calculate the fastest and/or most efficient transportation to a desired destination.
