Daimler Extends Contract for Head of China Operations

Daimler AG has extended its contract with Hubertus Troska, CEO of the company's operations in China, through 2020.

Troska, 54, has been a member of Daimler's board of management and head of Mercedes-Benz car and commercial truck business in China since December 2012.

Last year Mercedes-Benz boosted deliveries 29% to 281,600 units in China. Troska previously predicted the brand's car volume there would surpass 300,000 units in 2015.

Mercedes has considerable work to do to match sales of rivals Audi (578,900 units in 2014) and BMW (456,000 units).
