Daimler Boosts Priority of Strategy for China

Daimler AG has named Hubertus Troska to the newly created post of management board member for Chinese operations, effective immediately.

Troska's appointment expands Daimler's management board to eight executives. He had been in charge of Mercedes-Benz Trucks operations in Europe and Latin America since 2005.

One of Troska's primary objectives will be to improve the company's results in China, where sales have lagged those of rivals Audi and BMW. His new duties also will include those of Ulrich Walker, chief of Beijing-based Daimler Northeast Asia, who will retire after 30 years at the company.
