Daimler AG has launched production of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake at its factory in Kecskemet, Hungary.

The sporty wagon joins the CLA coupelike midsize sedan and B-Class small MPV already assembled at the plant. The facility, which began operations in 2012, made about 150,000 vehicles last year. Both CLA models are supplied exclusively by Kecskemet.

Daimler says it has invested €1 billion in the Hungarian facility to date. The factory employs nearly 4,000 people.
