Corvette Styling Cues Coming to Future Chevrolets

General Motors Co. will weave subtle references to the styling of the Corvette Stingray into virtually all Chevrolets in the future, design chief Ed Welburn tells Automotive News.

He points specifically to the taut and sporty look of the Corvette's hood, which he says GM will incorporate in "everything we do" for the Chevy brand.

Next-generation Cruze, Malibu and Volt sedan all will reveal variants of Corvette design language, according to Welburn. One example: the 'Vette's squarish taillamps, which will at least be hinted in all other Chevy models.
