Continental Expands R&D Center in Singapore

Continental AG has opened a $23 million expansion to its research center in Singapore.

The new building adds 53,800 sq ft of floorspace and will house 450 of the center's 900 employees. Conti says the extension will house R&D and administrative personnel for its ContiTech, Interior and Tires divisions.

The company operates 28 similar R&D centers around the world. Conti generates some $8 billion in annual sales in Asia.
