The 25,800-sq-ft facility is dedicated to diesel and gasoline engine development and homologation work.
Conti says the center, which employs 50 people, is equipped with a chemical lab, chassis and engine bench dynamometers, pre-conditioning areas and climate chambers with a range of -35 C to +50 C. The company's divisions have a combined 13 operations in Brazil that employ more than 6,000 people.
