Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc. has completed the sale of its anti-vibration systems business to Continental AG in a deal worth $266 million.
The sale affects about 1,000 employees and covers operations in Canada, China, France, Poland and the U.S., plus equity interest in a joint venture in India.
The anti-vibration unit makes products used to control NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) and enhance vehicle ride and handling. Cooper Standard’s remaining businesses comprise sealing, fluid transfer and fuel and brake delivery systems.
Last year, the Novi, Mich.-based company reported flat sales of $3.6 billion and an adjusted net income of $161 million, down 23%.
