Chrysler Group LLC has created a new office to monitor the company's safety and regulatory compliance issues.
The company appointed Scott Kunselman, the former vice president of engineering who has headed Chrysler's NAFTA purchasing activities for two years, to run the new office. He reports directly to CEO Sergio Marchionne.
Kunselman's new group will assume responsibility for vehicle safety and regulatory compliance, a role previously held by Chrysler's global engineering group.
Tom Finelli, currently director of global standardization, will succeed Kunselman in the top North America purchasing job.
