Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV plans to start making Viper supercars again next month after only 10 days of production in the past seven months, Automotive News reports.

A total shutdown came in July after the company reduced daily output at the Viper plant in Detroit from nine to six cars per day a year ago.

The company slashed the sticker prices of cars in stock by $15,000 last month and offered current owners an additional $15,000 discount if they buy a 2015 model.

The price cut more than doubled sales to 108 cars last month, according to AN. FCA dealers have taken about 200 orders for the 2015 edition. But the company says it won't begin building the new model until dealers sell off more inventory.
