General Motors Co.'s Chevrolet brand will offer no-haggle pricing on 2012 model-year vehicles in a bid to make room on dealer lots for incoming 2013 models.

Analysts say the program could help GM clear out old inventory without big cash rebates that could erode brand image and resale values.

The company also has launched a money-back guarantee dubbed "Love it or Return it" on all new Chevies. The program, which runs through Sept. 4, allows buyers to return a vehicle for any reason within 60 days, as long as it is undamaged and has been driven less than 4,000 miles.

GM offered a similar deal in September 2009 and took back fewer than 500 vehicles.

The company advertised the money-back and no-haggle promotions during Tuesday night's All-Star game for Major League Baseball and plans to air additional commercials during the Summer Olympic Games.
