General Motors Co. will base-price its all-new Chevrolet Blazer midsize crossover vehicle at $30,000 when the vehicle arrives at U.S. dealerships in January.
The 2019 model undercuts its closest rivals the Ford Edge ($31,000) and Nissan Murano (31,800). Chevy will offer four trim levels for the new Blazer but has announced pricing for only the base “L” model.
Positioned between the compact Equinox and large Traverse crossovers in Chevy’s lineup, the midsize Blazer features styling inspired by the latest Camaro sports coupe.
Features include sleek LED running lights, a large dual grille and darkened door pillars.
The entry-level Blazer L comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and starting, heated mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels. The base engine is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The optional 3.6-liter V-6 generates 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive also is available.
Other options include a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, hands-free power liftgate, adaptive cruise control and a rearview camera-mirror. Wireless charging for electronic devices and as many as six USB ports also are available.
