Wholesales of passenger vehicles in Indonesia grew 6% to 661,200 units through the seven months of 2018, says the Assn. of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers (GAIKINDO).
The Jakarta-based trade group reports that factory sales in July surged 21% to 107,400 units. Toyota Motor Co. is the country’s largest producer, with a 30% share, followed by Daihatsu (17%), Honda (14%) and Mitsubishi Motors (13%).
Retail sales in Indonesia for January-July gained 12% to 659,800 cars, according to GAIKINDO. Deliveries in July climbed 16% to 98,100.
