Car Sales Slip 3% in India

Passenger car sales in India dropped to 159,000 units last month from 163,200 vehicles in October 2013, according to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

Demand for commercial vehicles also declined 3%, to 52,000 units last month. SIAM says sales of two-wheels fell 3% to 1.46 million.

The decline reverses a 3% increase in passenger vehicle sales in September.
